    Modeling Career – Start Up, Inspiration, Challenges and More :

    I was in Highschool when I saw the pictures of my Classmate’s Elder Sister, (she was a model) I fell in love with the photographed Pictures and her beauty, I curiously went home to Google about similar pictures and was acquainted with the term Modelling, the pictures I saw under the images section captivated me but I didn’t understand what it was about, apparently our ICT teacher was a photographer and wanted to take shots of us to practice.

    At the age of 14, I Googled more about Modelling, reached out to some photographers and agencies via Facebook and they told me what I needed to do but as a girl of 14, I didn’t have any money for photo sessions or agency fees. When I was to relocate with my family to Benin for my University Education I did my first Photoshoot with my ICT Teacher.

    My modelling career officially started and I added some saved up money and contacted an agency in Benin via Instagram. It didn’t go well cause I had payed for makeup, brought my costume and was being promised I will eventually get endorsed which never happened ,I was getting fed up and had to quit. While in 200level, a friend said I should join an academy instead to understand the basics of modelling, I did was promised I won’t regret the experience and I could get signed, although during the casting I wasn’t picked.

    I cried, Lols.

    Some friends said I should forget modelling cause am just 5’3ft, short and The Modelling Industry was ruled by the tall 5’9ft skinny peeps.

    I dropped modelling for 6months but January 2019 I was going through some pictures and it dawned on me that to model a dress or a product doesn’t need you to be tall, short, fat slim, Black or White;

    Everybody of different sizes and colour are representation of diverse beauties.
