Rema Earns Gold Certification In Italy With ‘Calm Down’
Following the Gold certification of his smash single “Calm Down,” which sold over 25,000 copies in Italy, Nigerian Afrobeats musician Rema has reached yet another milestone.
The popular song served as the lead single for Rema’s debut album, “Rave & Roses,” which was released in March 2022.
The song has gained significant traction among fans all over the world since its release, and the artist widened the spotlight with a Selena Gomez remix.
Gold certifications for “Calm Down” were already earned in Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands before it was granted in Italy. In the UK and France, respectively, it was awarded a Silver certification and a Diamond certification.
The successful song also gained recognition internationally as it entered the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 74 and reaching the top 10 on the UK singles chart.
Rema revealed that the popular song has received more than 1 billion streams across all music platforms following his performance in London’s Brixton Arena. Given that the number-one song is still clearly audible to music lovers everywhere, we anticipate it to reach other milestones.
