On October 13, 2015, Nigerian singer Darey released his album Naked through Livespot Entertainment. The 13-track collection traverses genres including Afrobeat, Afropop, jùjú, soul, highlife, and R&B.
The project features guest artists such as Asa, Olamide, and the Soweto Gospel Choir. Production was led by Oscar Heman-Ackah, with contributions from Vtek, Cobhams Asuquo, and Darey himself as executive producer.
Leading singles included “Pray for Me (Gbadura Fun Mi)” with the Soweto Gospel Choir, and “Àsìkò Laiyé (Remix)” featuring Olamide. “Pray for Me” went on to win Best R&B Single and Best Recording of the Year at The Headies 2016.
