Rising star in Nigeria’s music scene, Supahwiz, has officially dropped his highly anticipated debut EP titled Top Boy.
The 7-track project showcases his versatility as both a rapper and singer, while also featuring a diverse array of notable guest artists such as Dee Wayne, Lord X, Mizzy Banks, Kontrolla, DboyKhalifah, and Kolawole Vibes.
Born Osagie Aigbovo, Supahwiz grew up in the vibrant cultural hub of Benin City, Edo State. Drawing from his upbringing and personal experiences, Top Boy is an authentic reflection of his journey, offering a mix of hard-hitting rap verses and melodic hooks. The EP’s production was handled by the renowned producer DY Crux, who also mixed and mastered the entire project, ensuring a polished and cohesive sound.
The standout tracks include the introspective “No Cap,” the energetic “Fearless” featuring Dee Wayne, and the emotive “Blessed,” where he collaborates with Lord X and Mizzy Banks. The project closes with “My Life,” a deeply personal track that sees Supahwiz team up with Kolawole Vibes, leaving listeners with a powerful message of resilience and hope.
When asked about the inspiration behind Top Boy, he shared that the project draws from his personal journey through life, as well as the popular movie series Top Boy, which played a significant role in shaping the themes of hustle, survival, and ambition found throughout the EP.
With Top Boy, he cements his place in the Nigerian music scene, proving he is not only a rapper to watch but also an artist with the potential to make a lasting impact.
