Afro Nation Portugal is set to celebrate its fifth anniversary with a power-packed lineup featuring Nigerian music heavyweights Tems, Burna Boy, and Davido.

The 2025 edition will run from July 9 to 11 at Praia da Rocha in Portimão, Portugal, continuing the festival’s legacy as a global hub for African music and culture.
Davido will kick off the event on Wednesday, July 9, with support from UK rapper J Hus, Nigeria’s street-hop sensation Shallipopi, Tiakola, Gabzy, Ronisia, and rising star Qing Madi. Tems headlines the following night, joined by R&B icon Mary J. Blige, as well as acts like Amaarae, Franglish, Odeal, and Naza. Burna Boy will close out the three-day event on Friday, July 11, performing alongside Booba, Dexta Daps, Dystinct, Frenna, Joé Dwèt Filé, and Inoss’B.
The 2025 lineup continues to spotlight Afrobeats and African sounds, while expanding into amapiano, R&B, and global genres. The Piano People stage will host top DJs and performers including Uncle Waffles, DBN Gogo, Young Stunna, Kamo Mphela, and Scorpion Kings.
Although earlier reports mentioned Chris Brown as a potential headliner, he does not appear on the official lineup poster released by Afro Nation. The current billing focuses on African and diaspora talents pushing the culture forward.
With its international draw and rich showcase of African artistry, Afro Nation Portugal 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated music festivals of the year. For tickets and more details, visit afronation.com.
