South African pop sensation Tyla has released her latest single, “Is It,” arriving today, July 11, 2025, via FAX and Epic Records . Her first release after the critically praised “Bliss”, this new track continues her evolution as a global pop force.
Produced by Sammy SoSo, “Is It” blends Amapiano rhythms with smooth, dancefloor-ready production, delivering a seductive summer vibe that positions it as a potential anthem for the season . The accompanying music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, who also worked on Tyla’s visual “Push 2 Start” features club scenes, intimate choreography, and cinematic flair that reflect complex emotions wrapped in movement .
In a statement to Nylon, Tyla said she is “just having fun with it,” promising “a new version of me” and a rekindling of joyous themes in her music . The single marks another step forward from her debut self-titled album and recent track “Bliss”, both receiving praise for showcasing her vocal versatility and creative growth .
Tyla’s career continues its upward trajectory since “Water” became the first song by a South African solo artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100 in over half a century, earning her a historic Grammy in 2024 . With “Is It,” she again embraces her Afropop roots while exploring new textures in dance-pop and club music.
