Singer, Recording and Performing Artiste, Collins Erepade Gideon popularly known by his stage name REPS KUTI
is one of the few we definitely need to dedicate time to listen to.
Being a lover of Soul Music, Afro Beat and Afro Pop Music, the singer has highly treated his ways in defining his own sound which is greatly attributed and easily linked to him Growing up listening to songs from the early 90s and early 20s, Following the path laid by his Influencers such as Burna Boy and Mr Eazi.
In a quick conversation, the fast rising had these to say about his sound and his Art.
“I felt the infusion of old school vibe and rhythm into my music will actually replicate a new kind of sound in the industry.
Started music in 2014 back then in secondary school. I was a dancer and also the guy known for selecting the best music for my dance crew. So gradually I found out I had good listening ears for sound. So I told myself why not go into this music, This one thought has placed me on a new path with works starting from covers to songs I admired much, however Released my first single in 2015 Titled IFE MY LOVER.
