Hope Ogun Omumati, the emerging Afro and street hip-hop artist known as Hp Zendo, has released his inaugural EP “HOPE” . This 7-track project establishes Hp Zendo as an innovative voice within Nigeria’s thriving music scene.
Inspired by his journey from obscurity to success, the standout single “Otedola” reflects on earning respect and status. “When I had nothing, I wasn’t regarded, but when I started gaining wealth, then I started getting a lot of respect as a boss,” Hp Zendo remarks. Other tracks showcase his versatility as he blends Afrobeats, hip-hop, and contemporary street sounds.
Hailing from Otuo, Edo State, He is influenced by African greats like Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy along with international rap giants. With “HOPE,” he puts his own creative stamp on the culture, poised to resonate with youth across Nigeria.
The EP features rising talents Haeman and Base One, adding extra dimensions to the audio experience. Their contributions highlight his willingness to collaborate across his country’s musical landscape.
