Wondering Who is Pytha?
Pytha is an Abuja-based rapper/singer/songwriter/performer who approaches art from a realistic point of view. While he continues to experiment with more sounds, he has so far delivered ingenious cadence on beats ranging from classic to alternative hip hop, melodic rap, trap, and drill. Recently, he has grown an affinity for soft, low-end type beats.
He’s what we might refer to as raw, especially at first meet. He doesn’t feel the need to pretend and so, whatever dose of Pytha you get, whether at first-meet or at your one-thousandth is going to be the same, not to say that he doesn’t grow but his originality remains a core part of him that he preserves. Most importantly, he has a story to tell and he wants it to be heard unfiltered.
He’s one of the best graduating students from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Benin.
What Inspired This Song, He Said and We Share Below
sadness? Ls? Cuz for real, man I’ve had quite a number of losses this year, if you follow me on IG or Twitter you should know this. “How e Dey be?” came from the darkest place I’ve ever been. I was at the lowest of low trying to figure where next to go.
Kota the friend played a part in the inspiration too, I was listening to a lot of his music at that time cuz at the end of the day, music is the only thing I could turn to for elevation.
