Nigerian music icons David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and Chibuzor Azubuike, aka Phyno, along with other celebrities, made a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri’s palace on Saturday.
The group, which included renowned comedian Ayodeji Makun (AY Makun) and socialite Cubana Chief Priest, was in Warri for the highly anticipated “Warri Again” event, organized by former Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick.
Photos and videos from the palace visit, where the stars paid their respects to the Olu of Warri, were shared by Cubana Chief Priest on Instagram. He expressed his admiration for the king, stating, “First time in Warri, and first stop is at the great palace of the fresh, smart, and composed king, the #OluofWarri OGIANE.”
The “Warri Again” event, scheduled for Saturday night, follows a previous conflict between Davido and Pinnick in October 2023. Pinnick had publicly called out Davido for not fulfilling his performance obligations during the 19th edition of the event, despite receiving payment. However, the issue was resolved amicably in March 2024, with both parties reaching an out-of-court settlement.
