Ojujucalaba On New Record, Rollacoaster
With fine-tuned melodies and rhythms, having bridged the communication process between his art and the audience willing to listen, the Edo state born musical artiste, known by the name, Ojujucalaba, an African/ Nigerian representation Of a Ghost, a Deity and a masquerade, takes the lead introducing his debut single in the year 2022, titled, Rollacoaster.
Some talented musical artistes signify a pure form of art. I am one of the very few who don’t just do what they do in lapse because we know the world would understand the need for our craft if they paid attention enough, he said as we stepped into further conversations to chat about his career so far, his works and projects and more.
Although having had a long day from working endlessly on his art, it still doesn’t tell as he hmms melodies while looking around. His appreciation of paintings isn’t far off the knocks, as he made points towards the presence of a few daring arts on the wall, describing it to the kind of music he makes. It is Trap, a mix of Afro and relatable lyrics. But, That’s however not the trigger, as his lyrics are times inspired by Port Harcourt slangs and dictions, which shows off his Port Harcourt roots.
Realistically, being one of the very few to look out for in modern-day Afrobeat. Ojujucalaba, The 23-year-old Nigerian Afro vibes / Afro Melodic Trap, Singer and Pop Artiste, Born September 9th, in Edo state, has grown to define his spot in scenes therein, creating a niche for himself and his art.
With Accolades from his previous project, In The Evening, Over 600,000 Streams from various digital platforms, reviews and comments preaching his works in light of success, it is only expected he pushes for more and the yet to be released single, Rollacoaster, looks to do the trick.
In the single, Rollacoaster, scheduled for release on April 29th, 2022, Ojujucalaba employs the various elements of Afrobeat & soul to deliver a fine blend of melody, and infectious rhythm, describing the pain of being neglected and not getting the much attention required from a lover.
In his remarks, he stated that with Rollacoaster, listeners would experience a soft, easy listening and a soulful sing-along vibe.
