Osahenoma Osariemen, professionally known as Rex Borz, is a Nigerian musician born on April 2nd, 2003, in Benin City, Edo State.

Growing up amidst the challenges of poverty as the third son of four boys, Borz learned early on about the harsh realities of life. However, he attributes his resilience and determination to the unwavering hope instilled in him and his brothers.
Rex Borz’s early education took place at St Jude Thaddeus College for his secondary schooling, followed by the University of Benin for his tertiary education. It was during his secondary school years that his passion for music began to flourish. While studying cultural and creative arts, he delved deeper into the musical segment of his curriculum, where a dedicated teacher mentored him and a friend, teaching them various musical instruments.
Although Borz recalls music being a part of his life from a young age, his interest intensified in Junior Secondary School (JSS2). Starting with the recorder, he quickly progressed to performing at every school event, even gracing the assembly ground with his musical talents.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists such as Afrobeat icons like Wizkid, as well as contemporary sensations like Omah Lay and Zinoleesky, Rex Borz’s musical style spans across genres such as Afrobeat, Afro soul, and HipHop/rap. However, he feels particularly drawn to Afro soul, allowing his emotions to guide his creative process.
Borz officially embarked on his music career in 2020, driven by the belief that his breakthrough moment will come when the world recognizes and appreciates his unique contributions to the music scene. Although he hasn’t garnered any awards yet, he remains undeterred, focused on creating music that resonates with listeners on a deeply emotional level.
When it comes to collaborations, Rex Borz has worked with notable artists such as Billy the GOAT, Owizzy, Corizo, and Obadd, showcasing his versatility and willingness to collaborate with diverse talents.
In his music, Borz draws inspiration from various aspects of life, including love, heartbreak, family, and the human experience. He approaches songwriting as a medium to express his deepest emotions, crafting melodies that evoke powerful sentiments.
