    The Beginning of the End.’ Adetiba took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans, hinting at a fresh narrative with new characters and the return of some familiar faces.

    The original Nigerian crime political thriller, ‘King of Boys,’ released in 2018, captivated audiences with the gripping tale of Alhaja Eniola Salami, portrayed by veteran actress Sola Sobowale. The film unveiled the complex journey of Salami as she navigates the challenges of attaining power through her political ambitions. With a total cinematic earnings of ₦244 million, it stands as the 13th highest-grossing Nigerian movie of all time.

    Following the success of the first installment, ‘King of Boys: The Return of the King,’ a seven-part series, hit Netflix on August 27, 2021. The series continued the saga, showcasing Salami’s ascent to legitimate political power after five years in exile.

    In her Instagram post, Adetiba teased that ‘King of Boys 3’ would defy expectations, describing it as “ELEVATED in every way you could imagine.” The filmmaker expressed her honor in returning to narrate this new chapter in the acclaimed saga.

    As the project moves into pre-production, casting calls have begun, promising a mix of new talent and the return of beloved characters. The cast of the previous installments included Toni Tones, Reminisce, Illbliss, Akin Lewis, Osas Ighodaro, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Jide Kosoko, Adesua Etomi, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Efa Iwara, Deyemi Okanlawon, Titi Kuti, Keppy Ekpeyong, Bimbo Manuel, Charly Boy, Sharon Ooja, and Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett.
